What happens when delete Social Media Accounts

Many people talk about deleting social media accounts, so in 2022, I deleted all my social media accounts. If you’re planning to remove all your social media platforms, you might have questions about what comes next and how to prepare for these newest changes. Speaking from my own experience, you will get an idea.

  1. Accidental reactions

When I removed my social media accounts, I came across most of the reactions from my friends and others. Some people requested that I return. Some people or your friends may appreciate your decision and they also get inspiration to extract social media from you. After all, you can connect with your friends and families straightforwardly and you can spend your time online. Also, you can make memories live.

  1. Feeling uncomfortable with some works

Every time I open my browser, I might be at a loss to decide what to do. I didn’t know where to go next, because my Facebook and Instagram had gone. But don’t worry this situation doesn’t last long, you can immediately recover like me. You can find more time to learn a new hobby or learn new things. I find interesting newspapers and novels as an alternative to social media.

  1. Being unfamiliar with social

Now, you are the only person who doesn’t know about what’s going on around you. Expect many more of them. If you’re not active on social media that means, you can’t find some news around you. Not staying updated on Facebook, Instagram updates, WhatsApp status, and social media, you will miss some conversations, parties, or other meetings. Or, if you want to see your best friend’s wedding, you have to wait until she meets you. It’s not like you can log in to Facebook or Instagram yourself to see them, can you?

To avoid these bad situations, I found some easy methods. I found alternative, sometimes old-school ways to keep in touch with friends and family.

  1. Difficult job searches

As we know, we can easily find jobs using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. The worst thing about removing social media platforms is that it is difficult to find jobs. These days, “Awesome social media skills” seem like a high skill in job descriptions. If you want to open up new opportunities, it is essential to be updated with LinkedIn, Google Meets, Twitter chats, and Facebook groups.

  1. More headspace

After a few weeks of removing social media, you will start to learn to enjoy your headspace. Life without social media is a very peaceful thing and it is important to maintain your inner peace. No more hate comments, heartbreaks, or toxic relationships to deal with on a daily basis. Moreover, you don’t need to be afraid of cybercriminals. The biggest advantage is that you don’t need to compare yourself with others and you can do anything on your own.

Don’t feel guilty after removing social media accounts, enjoy yourself!

Conclusion

If you want to go back to social media because some part of your work requires it, you’ll have to be ready to go back to social media. Social media is always not bad. It can have negative effects on many people. So, get only good things from social media!
